Richard will work with you and for you to help create the event that you want. Richard works with a small number of clients each year to ensure a personal relationship is built and maintained.
Your wedding:
How many weddings have you been to that are just the same as the last one? The same hymns, readings and probably no memorable music? All too often, the ceremony could be anyone’s. And yet, you have both chosen to be in church, registry office or other licensed location for a reason. The setting is probably beautiful and special to the bride or groom, or both. All too often a bride and groom will know that they want something beautiful and something different, but don’t know what a piece of music is called or how to go about having it performed.
A wedding is a canvas on which you can paint your own memorable and unique service. Richard will discuss with you such subjects as your taste in music, art and literature, your life story and your loves and passions. Also, what has made you both the people you are and what is unique about your relationship. An order of service can then be developed with music and readings that make your event truly unique.
Your funeral:
Often the amount of time between a death and a funeral is short. It is a difficult time with much to do and much to think about, and rarely a time when we are at our best. You can help those organising your funeral by doing most of the work for them, in advance. You have probably made a Will and arranged your Power of Attorney. Planning your funeral is the next logical step.
Through one-to-one conversations in person in your home or by Zoom or Teams calls, an order of service will be developed with you. Then, when the time comes, your spouse, partner or family will know that the music, readings, eulogies and other details of your funeral will be what you have always wanted and that the friends and relations you want involved are both aware and prepared.
Richard will discuss with you such subjects as your taste in music, art and literature, your life story and your loves and passions. Also, what has made you the person you are and makes you unique as an individual.
Your own or a loved one’s memorial service:
More often than not the time is short between a death and the funeral and it can be difficult to make the content of the funeral all it should or could be. A memorial service later, provides time for a spouse, partner, children, close friends or family to plan a fitting occasion. A memorial service also gives the opportunity for those not able to attend a funeral to pay their respects to the deceased and family.
As for funerals, an order of service can be developed so that it has all the personal detail that ensures a bespoke and unique occasion for all those that attend.
Eulogies:
Many are a little, or very, daunted by the thought of standing in front of an audience or congregation for the first time, and maybe don’t want to use AI but instead want to be real, authentic and go some way to conquer their anxiety and nerves by having some personal, discreet, first hand support. A eulogy can be drafted for you and help and support given to make sure you make a success of your part of the day.
Richard has provided his consultancy services to our family during a number of key occasions during the past ten years. These included our wedding, two christenings and a funeral. On each occasion Richard was a hugely valuable resource, providing his advice, experience and musical knowledge in a calm and tactful way, during what can be an emotive time. Each of the occasions were different, but with Richard’s advice and curation they were all dignified, elegant and spiritual in their own way, exactly as we wanted. We would highly recommend his services and will be using him again for a third christening in the spring.
